Introduction in global history and in special fields of interest

Global history

The minor History offers BA-students from various disciplines a brief orientation in global history, its general trends from the Antiquity to the present, and its current methods and historiography. At the same time, the minor focuses on Dutch history in its international context. Two main topics in political and cultural history are addressed in courses on democracy and on decolonization. A final tutorial enables the student to specialize in one issue of personal interest.
