Introduction in global history and in special fields of interest

History

The minor History offers Bachelor’s students from various disciplines a brief orientation in global history. You will learn more about general trends, from the Antiquity to the present, and current methods and historiography. It also focuses on Dutch history in its international context. Two main topics in political and cultural history are addressed in courses on democracy and on decolonization. A final tutorial enables you to specialize in one issue of personal interest.
